The price is cheaper but the small screen kinda makes me not want it

ya the screen is a bit smaller but the resolution and the GPS part looks better...

I like the F-series but i don't think i will ever have $ for it

 

I have a D3 and 6.1 inches is pretty small. I couldnt image 5.8. I guess it wouldnt be a huge difference tho.

 

Deffinetly couldnt deal with the screen size. Its like pioneer is going in the wrong direction. My wife had a D2, then I got the D3. Even that change I wasnt happy with.

The K looks very promising, but with that said, I'll be picking up a D3 used for half the price :D.

 

so what the screen is a little smaller beats the heck out of dealing with the navi dics

I've got a 6.5" Kenwood, which is the perfect size and fills up the radio slot quite nicely with a giant touch screen.

I thought the 6.1" Pioneer looked small. 0.4" diagonally is a noticable difference. Going from a 6.5" to a 5.8"... no thanks.

 

I bought the last brand spankin new Pioneer Avic D3 in Chicago :D i feel like they are so rare now..

 

True. I couldn't find a lot of new D3 lately (tho a lot in ebay)....I might just go for the F700BT instead...found one for 750+sh+tx.

 

which one would you guys recommend? the AVIC d3, the AVIC F90BT or the AVIC F900BT? The F90/F900 looks a lot nicer, especially the GPS, but the AVIC d3 has a really good reputation and it has a much bigger screen. They're about the same price, so I'm not sure which one to get. I've been wanting the D3 for a while though.

 

I've been wanting the d3 too...one major diff is the cd-swap for the gps map. You have to put in the cd for the D3 to set your directions for the GPS, but the f-series have HDD built-in instead. The F90 has the ipod cable and 2yr warranty, while the F900 has no ipod cable and 1yr warranty.

D3 is still nice (if you don't mind the cd-swap), but b/n the F90 and F900, go for the cheaper one.

 

they havent found a bypass for the F90 nor F900 but they have one for the Avic d3 plus how often are you gonna get lost? Haha the only problem is if you lose the CD. Hmm..thats right i gotta make a copy now.

 

lol. if you lose the CD for the D3...its like 50.00 or so for another one, i think. I'll probably go with the F90BT. Even though its smaller, its newer and probably has upgraded features. Even if I did get lost with the D3, the map cd would always be in cause i'd use my ipod for music, which i intend to do if with whatever navi i get. i'll wait until i can get the bypass for the F90 and then i'll buy it.

 

if you can afford get the double din Z3 thats what i wanted but couldnt afford

 

What's the ipod control like? It says it has alphabetical search which sounds much quicker than the arrow system the D3 has. The map interface looks smoother and nicer. I would definitely get it if they have a deal for this like they had with the D3 back a year ago.
