Default Pioneer avic-z3

Long story short,
About a month back, someone broke into my car (when it was parked overnight around my house) and stole my navigation system. It was a Pioneer avic-n3. They simply took the headunit and nothing else, my ipod adapter is still in my car. Although in the process of stealing my unit, they broke the plastic part that my n3 was attached to.
Now I'm looking to replace the unit, and I've fallen in love with the Pioneer avic-z3, which works out pretty well since my old ipod adapter will still work with the z3. My dilemma is: I'm hearing that the avic-z3 doesn't fit inside a tC? I haven't been able to find anyone on the forum with one installed in their tC, but I was able to find someone who has installed it inside their xD. Does anyone know what other parts I might need to make this unit fit? Also, will I be needing that plastic part my n3 used to be attached to (since the z3's dimensions are different)?

Sorry if this post is a little confusing, feel free to ask questions about what happened, anything beyond that I probably won't be able to answer since I have no clue what's going on. xD

Yes it fits you just have to drill holes on the thing that holds the deck i have one and it fits perfect. And you need to get the side parts for it.

here is where you get the dash kit from online................

http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...02&i=120958202

or i heard you can go to circut city and buy one (95-8202) is the part number.

You have to drill the hole like this..............

dqlostsoulz, do you have your z3 hooked up to the steering wheel controls? If so, did you use a PAC module and do you remember which one?
