but ehh.. you can connect to that one yellow wire in the R9 connecter.. (the same one that has the radio controls and the aux wiring) pin 3.

but everyone's been using the plug right at the ecu... 2nd plug from top.. pin 17.. purple wire
(but it seems they relocated it to pin 8 on the '07)

you connect the parking brake right? it shouldn't be grounded when it's operating..

did you void the warranty... (like you're supposed to?) if you want it to operate in that manner?

um, well the stereo wire is connected to the e-brake switch wire. the handle itself seems to be the ground. im pretty sure its all hooked up right. i dont get it about voiding the warranty...

if you want the navi search functions and such (including video) to be usable while driving.. you need to flip a switch behind a sticker that will void the unit when you remove it.

ill check it out tommorow. but shouldnt there be a proper way to do it. i mean it should read the navi discs (while im parked mind you) and display the map regardless of whether or not the switch is grounded right?

oh yeah.. it should display the maps and everything

it's just you can't use certain features.. (like poi search and address book. and searching and stuff) unless the safety is bypassed.
