Polarized Film Question!
#21
It definitely has an adhesive side Sorry did not see this post. You have to peel off the protective layer. There is also a 2nd protective layer on the front side to keep it from being scratched All you have to do is pm if you have any questions!
Make sure you orient the film correctly, the screen should look pitch black when it is install right.
It helps to use an LED flashlight to shine through the back of the screen while you apply it. As you turn the film in front of the screen, you will see it turn from a navy blue to a purple. Just chose the color you want the background to be
To remove the old adhesive, use goo-gone with a NEW razor blade as Dave said. Works without issues. Clean up the residue with rubbing alcohol.
Thanks Dave and Squall for chiming in to help out, been swamped with a very demanding swap that has taken up the last day + of my time

Yeah I peeled off the backing all carefully and started to position it on the screen thinking it would stick. Then as I was pushing it down to get air bubbles out it started moving around...and i was like wtf. So i flipped it over and touched and there is nothing sticky about it...

Ok, thanks! I didn't know it had 2 protective layers on it LOL! The other side is sticky so I'm all good now...
BTW, for anyone interested in getting this from garage1217, the sheet is big enough to do the HVAC screen, the ODO screen and then some! It can easily do 2 tCs' and the xB screen. I am going to do this to my car and my wifes xB and will still have some left over.

Right on thanks man! Yeah I try to give extra so if someone messes up, they have enough.
Yeah the first layer is to protect the film for shipping. The 2nd is to keep the adhesive clean. Right on, glad it is all sorted out
