Default Power Windows, Door Locks and Keyless Entry not working.....

Ok so i've done a bunch of audio mods to my tC over the past 2 years and never had any problems and or if I did I fixed them but i'm sort of stumped here. Ok one day my passenger side window stopped working on the drivers side controls and didn't make much of it since i knew i disconnected the battery a couple days earlier to install a new amplifier. But then a few days later the little green blinking light on the pass. door stopped. So today I went out o my car and figured its a fuse or something. I went and looked through both Fuse boxes and nothing was blown. I took out the one 20A fuse that said it worked the windows and put the same fuse in and now my keyless entry won't work on the flashers blink, no door locks are working on either side and the pass. window still only works with its own controls not the main drivers control. I'm sort of at a loss right now cause i just passed 37k miles and that just passes basic warranty even if Scion would cover it. Any idea what could be causing this?

To sum it up.
Passenger window controls not working. Tried fixing it and now keyless entry, power door locks and i checked all the fuses.

Just hold the switch in the up position for 3 seconds after the window is up.... may have to do the same for the sunroof (hold the switch closed for 3 seconds after it's closed)

SEARCH BUTTON! =)

also this is good to bookmark too.

ok.. well... as far as windows... sure... you have to reset them... as far as the keyless entry... you might have to reset the ecu again (at which then you'll need to reset your windows as well)

looks like you may have made the ecu crack itself up removing fuses and crap.. just disconnect the battery and reset the ecu... try everything over. that should work.

Disconnected the battery a few times but still no luck. Tried this yesterday then went through the whole owners manual and pulled any fused which might be the culprit(4 fuses i think it was) but no luck doing that either. Its really weird cause the pass.side door will work for the window but not the door lock, and the driver side door will work the window but not the pass. window and any of the door locks.

Are you saying you tried the proper reset for the windows and they still don't work?

Roll them 1/2 way down. Push the UP button and hold for ~10 seconds. They should reset. Do from the driver's side switches for both.

Yea they still don't work. None of the drivers side controls work only the power window one but only for the driverside. None of the door locks work, and even my keyless entry isn't working right. It only flashes the hazards when i hit Lock/Unlock and does not work the door locks.

Well, since you've "done a bunch of mods" it's possible you hosed something.
I suppose I'd take it to the dealer and hope that none of those mods caused it.
You might want to double-check everything once more - did you ever take off the door panels?

Yea I took the panels off a bunch of times but i know that that never caused it. At first it was just the pass side window wasn't working with the main controls and this was after it was at the body shop for a repair. I didn't really pay much mind to it cause i thought it just had to be reset so i didn't worry. Well yesterday since it was a nice day out i decided i would try fixing it. I tried the reset and it didn't work so i thought to myself to check the fuses and when i did one of the fuses was wrong. Someone at the body shop or maybe toyota when i dropped it off for an oil change blew a fuse and replaced the normal 20 amp fuse with one of the bigger 20 Amp fuses so thats gotta be where the trouble started. I figured i just had to replace the fuse with one the same rating and size and I did but it didn't work.

if it's the same rating.. it's fine.. size doesn't matter as long as it fits in the fuse slot. there are two types of mini-fuses.. the low-profile ones are what we have... if it's a regular mini-fuse it'll stick out.. but they still work.

Anyone have any other input. When i went to pick up my brother he of course had a big suitcase and I totally forgot that my keyless entry works the trunk so I couldn't open it. Either the Dealer or the Body Shop blew a fuse at some time and replaced the 20A fuse for a bigger fuse at 20A. The same size fuse I know is fine, but I know someone blew the fuse cause its toally to big of a size fuse compared to all the originals and i've never been in the fuse box before this. No one wants to take blame, nor do I blame them cause I can't prove anything. Toyota wants $85 just to hook it up and see why its doing this. By the way the passenger side window button blinks green again.

Um, after all this time, you haven't taken it in to the dealer?
Come on, that's crazy.
Sorry I have nothing more to offer, but really, WARRANTY?

Do people even read the posts? I brought it in, Toyota wants $85 to hook it up for diagnostic. In my original thread I have over 37k miles and basic warranty ends at 36k. Its not included under powertrain or anything of that nature. I already asked its not covered unless its a faulty toyota part. Seems like a simple fix but not having any luck.

Do you have any sort of auto up/down attached to you alarm? I had this in for about a month and it continued to cause most of the problems that you have mentioned. They couldn't find a solution so they had to just take it out. Hope this helps some....
