Default Pre-fab, custom, *whatever* custom kick/kickpod for the tC

As the title suggests...

I've been looking around, and can't find a company that makes prefab kicks for the tC...

For those that don't know what kicks are, they look like this:

And go basically where the kick panel of your car is [near your feet].

QLogic makes something called "qforms" which are prefab kicks, that with some modification and a bit of fiber glassing are actually fantastic, and easy to do...

However i don't think Qlogic makes kicks for the tC yet, and i can't find anyone who does..

Anybody here made custom kicks? Found prefab ones? Seen any?

well to start off... most of the cars that q logic makes preformed kicks for are for cars that have "stupid" sort to say speaker sizes for stock such as 4x6's....

since our car comes stock with 6.5 speakers.... most dont see it worth it to make preformed kicks...

the only way i could see if there were kicks is if your building a three way system up front and need some mid drivers down there... otherwise... i find them kinda pointless...

I believe mandos/Elemental Design will be working on some kicks in the future, but I have no idea when that'll be

We used to own Q logic and this is how they determine what is made and what isnt..

The look at the factory sound of the system and then look at how many of these vehicles have been sold. If you look the honda accords use a 6.5 and they made them for that vehicle. The reason is, there is a ton of these cars out there and people want a inexpensive way to upgrade the system. I have been trying to get them to make the tC. They finally made the xB ones. We just sold them. They are a great company and still trying to get them to make them for us.

Qlogic may still make (I know they used to) "universal" pods that could be made to work for the tC. Unfortunately for most cars the universal model required so much work, most people were better off creating a set from scratch.

Making your own isn't really too difficult, you don't have to go with a full fiberglass pod, as many people simply make a baffle that's secured from behind to the floor using metal strapping material.

that's just not true by any means. at all really. kicks help the sound stage tremendously. providing nearer-to-on-axis response from mids and tweets (but more especially tweets) not only gives you succchhhh better imaging but to put it simply, alot louder at that.

Keep trying!!! Some simple modifications to those qlogic pods make them fantastic for a good, sealed respons

and i might end up just putting some infinite baffle ones down there like you just described, but they have the combination of not looking very good, and being very succeptible to damage via feet =/

and yeah, the modifications done to most any of the universal ones are a _____, at best.

I would definately like to see some kickpanels for the tC. Either some prefab or if someone who knows fiberglass would like to construct them.

I hate the stock tweeter locations...they're decent...but the driver side tweet gets so screwed up by having the plastic between it and you.

I will make kicks...one day.

Kick panels are also great for people that want to increase the front stage (with multiple driver sets) to keep up with their spl desire..

does anyone know (so i've heard) that the xB kick from Q-form can fit on the tC kick with little modification ??

still unanswered.. unless you know where to get pre-formed custom kick panels for a scion tC... ? Do share....

Or should i have posted a new topic asking for some so you could end-reply with a "use the search button, it's been asked"

But thanks for such an IRONIC productive post.

So to answer the question there are no kickpanels in production for the tC that I have been able to find.....tried everywhere for days on Google and else where....but there just is none.It would be nice to save us from making pods ourselves,I am going to just build my own soon and cover them in suede..

Hope that helps.......

I think it is great that new people are searching and reading and when they do not find the answer they are bumping.......that is really why we all are here is to share and learn and show.......God knows I have spent a year now reading old posts and have learned so much that is not been covered in a long time it is sick.

Thank you guys... I try to show proper etiquette..

thank you for the informative posts.. I searched thinking maybe someone gave out the info and this was the post that came up... I didn't see an answer but this was the most recent and thought i'd ask since No other thread had an answer. I really thought their was pre-made kicks and the thread was just buried and forgotten with no answer.

Thanks guys much appreciation for quenching my thirst...

I hope Q-form or eD comes up with some...

Some people were saying the xB from Q-form can fit our kick panel..
don't know how true that is...

once again Thank you guys much appreciation
