Question Programing stock head unit with a Sub

Hey guys I had two subs and a amp installed in my 2007 Tc with the stock non upgraded head unit. I had it done at Circuit City. It sounded really good, the subs hit hard and the bass was only coming from them not the speakers.

Well today i had to disconnect my battery and it reset everything. Now bass is coming from all the speakers and the subs don't hit hard at all. I cant figure out how to re program the unit so that no bass is coming from the speakers and make it only go to the subs. ANYONE HAVE A CLUE?

which factory headunit do you have? the standard or premium one?

if it's the premium one, with the HU's power off, push the menu button. scroll over to subwoofer controll, and turn it on. also, turn off feature that turns up the volume as you accellerate. now push the power button. in the menu, you can adjust the subwoofer output level. so you can turn the bass down and the subwoofer up.....if you really want to do that.

If its the standard one you gotta set the SSP to 'Feel' then hold it down for a couple secs till it beeps and set it to 'xB' with the ****. Then adjust the treb and bass accordingly.

Hey buddy, I am unable to do this. I have a 2006 with the "iPod" unit.
Do I still have access to a special menu? I would love to further tweak my little sub. I did set my SSP button to xB though with great Bass Output.

the "ipod unit" tells me nothing. eithor you have the standard or premium headunit. since you're not sure, makes me assume that you have the standard one, and will not be able to control the subwoofer level with the headunit. you're left with your standard bass/treb controls.

I have this one, It changes colors; I was under the impression that this was "Premium" for the 2006 models.

Copy that, I guess that explains why I had to add an RCA Output harness behind the HU. I just thought maybe were was still menu items I was over looking. Thanks.
