Default Question

::noob warning:: I know NOTHING about sound systems

I want to install two tens in my 07 tC. I also want to keep the factory radio w/ ipod upgrade. AND I also want to have some space in my trunk! lol

I want sufficient thump but also great sound. is it possible to install two 10's to the stock radio. if so. around what price range would I be looking at for something that fit these qualifications

thank you in advance for answering my question and putting up with my ignorance with this topic

if u want to save space then a custom box is what u want. this will be expensive.

in order to hook up a amp to power your two 10's to ur stock deck u need an rca adapter or an amp wif high level inputs. you need to hook up the rca adapter inputs wif ur speaker lead output from ur deck and then plug the amp to the rca outputs (low level) from the adapter. or if u have an amp wif high level inputs then u can hook up the speaker leads from the deck straight to the amp. and for trunk space, ur going to need a pretty small box or a custom one in order to gain sum space. good luck

Yeah, you will feel it with one 12,

Also, what the guy described is just a Line out converter
http://www.sjgreatdeals.com/sisloc80.html

You just connect the line out converter (LOC) to the wires for the rear speakers, then run the rca cable from the LOC to the amp.

Also you might want to check out some of the flush mount systems that are here on Scionlife, some of those are really nice, and keep your trunk.

mine right now is in a sealed enclosur right in the middle of my trunk. granted my box is a little big imo, i know its definately smaler than if i had two 10s in my trunk. then i have my amp in my cubby hole on the right side.

I and a few of my friends like Kicker subs. I have a 10" Solobaric L5 which was installed in a custom box. Takes little room and sounds pretty nice. I was looking around and found the L7 (which is better than what I have) for an awesome price. Check it out:

1200 watt PEAK
600 watt, RMS
