Default Question about fog wiring

So i wired my fogs directly to the headlight lead wire.

Im not running a switch of any sorts. Just the relay , fuse, ground and lead wire.

It has been fine for the last 2 weeks but today the fogs stopped working.

Anyone have any advice on where i should check for problems?

See if the connection is still good from the headlights....if that is still intact I'd check the grounds and if those are fine....then you need a new relay

does anyone know if wiring the fogs directly to your headlights or sidemarkers is safe?

You arent going directly to the headlight wiring if you are using a relay the way it was supposed to be used. Using the stock headlight wiring to trigger the relay to switch power onto the fogs should be fine. Relays do not draw much current for their switching operation.
