i lost my key for my tc and they said if i bought one online like ebay already cut and just have the blade switched is that even possible? please help me!

 

I don't know about the blade, but you'll have to have the keyless entry re-programmed, which apparently is a lot of $$$.

Do you mean an uncut key? Because I'd be pretty worried if you can go on ebay and buy a key precut for your car. You can take it to most hardware stores and they can cut the key for you. Or call a locksmith, I'm sure they have the equipment to cut it for you.

 

it's not just reprogramming a wireless remote..

there's a transponder chip located insde the key made specific to the car...

you cannot make a key and just use it.... that chip's part of the immobilizer system...

you HAVE to get the key via the dealership... and it's not cheap..
moral of story? don't lose your keys.
