Default Question regarding stock speakers

I'm planning on powering my speakers with an Audiobahn 300 watt amp. Will the stock speakers be able to handle it or would i need to replace my speakers. *note* i dont want to be extremely loud... just a little bit louder than stock. any input is help.

Generally the stock speakers/HU are well matched. I dunno about giving them that much power over what the stock HU puts out. Going from ~20 watts/channel to 150 is a big jump

I bet they will blow. I changed my tC head unit to a Kenwood pushing 45 watts and I blew the speakers.

The stock HU is 40 watts/channel for sure, but it distorts
LONG before that.

While the stock speakers sound surprisingly good for a budget
box, I think they would pop pretty easy if driven with real
power.

This may be a silly question but are planning on running them full range. If so, they probably won't last long. In my other car I switched HU's from stock to after-market and just that difference caused my stock speakers to blow. I assume that's what did it.

If you use a crossover or capacitators the speakers should be alright for a while since they will not be getting the full range and the bass that goes with it.
