Questions about Alpine IVA 200
I am trying to install the iva 200 into my tc and am having a hard time with bypassing the hand brake due to the squencing. Does anyone know how to bypass the hand brake and foot brake? Is there some type of hardware i need to purchase? If so where can i purchase it? On another note... i can not adjust the brightness and a mass of goodies on this hu. I am thinking this is because i am unable to bypass the hand brake is that correct? Any help would be greatly appriciated.

You are correct.... You need the pac adaptor and just to wire it up... easy as a few wires and you are good to go.... then you can make all the changes you want on the deck...
No need to modify the settings on the pac module either, the stock settings are set up perfect.

legal is all BS.. this installer/sales person will tell you to go buy the PAC-7 I believe it is, follow the instructions they give you.. really easy... and watch TV whenever you want... but i am not responsible... etc etc

BTW, if you are concerned about legality and getting pulled over and the 1 in a million chance the cop wanted you to prove it was not overridden, it comes with a switch to shut it off as well...
it's a heck of a lot easier to wire up than switches as well, wiring into the harness was like a 2 minute task and now as I turn the car on, everything is overridden like it was made to be that way... can't even tell it was ever limited.

well.. to whom ever said that wiring up the switches is complicated... its really not.... on my buddies he was too cheap for the TR7 so i wired up two switches... and it works just fine....
i also did it to mine... i am a fan of not spending 30 bucks if i can only spend 3 dollars....

I bought something off ebay called the Black Box R2. A seller on there (specialty2002) apparently makes them. It is more expensive than the PAC one, but this does not need to be programed, as I understand the PAC one does. It was SUPER easy to install, came with very good and clear instuctions.

The PAC comes programmed for the Alpine Decks, so it's just a matter of tapping up like 5 wires into your harness, and you're good to go...
the 30 bucks is well worth the fact that I don't have to flip switches everytime I get into the car... a little box does that for me, and I don't ever have to think about it.... best few bucks I spent on my audio
