:i dont know how to wire it:

but youll need to find the dome light power wire, run it to the "on" side of teh switch and use a relay so that it will allow both wires to supply power at different times...

edit: you could prolly do it without the relay...

Heres how I would do it.
I drew this up real quick, but I think it is accurate.
Any questions just ask.

wat the helll HAHA i dont understand a single thing in that diagram

lemme explain what ihave right now rathar than the crappy diagram i made before...

i have leds in the door handle side vents, center vents, cup holders, etc... i have all the negative wires attached to one wire and grounded to a screw, and all the possitive wires all combined into one and connected to one prong on the switch, and the 2nd prong on the switch goes to the 12 v power supply, so how would i do it? because i tried splitting the possitive wire to go to the switch and to the dome light, and the negative too, but it doesnt work for some reason

You have it all right you just need a relay so you are not loading the dome light circuit down when the switch is on.
1. Buy a 12V auto relay and socket from autozone.
2. tap into the positive dome light wire and connect that to the one side of the coil on the relay.
3. The other wire from the coil on the relay goes to ground.
There is several contacts on the auto relays. you need the normally open, should say N.O. on the relay.
4. One side of the NO contact goes to one side of the switch and the other side of the NO contact goes to the other side of the switch.
I can tell you colors of the wire on the relay socket when i get home and look at one.
It real easy though. You're almost there.

Connect the White wire to the positive dome light wire.
Connect the Black wire to ground.
Yellow to one side of the switch and blue to the other side of the switch

Here is the socket

Here is the schematic of relay

and the back of the relay

Where does the RED wire connect to?
i bought a socket and a relay to plug into the socket
So...I have a switch with 3 prongs in it, One goes to the Yellow wire of the socket, the 2nd prong goes to the blue wire of the socket. Now, BLACK i can connect to the same ground that im using for the LEDS now? and the white wire goes to the Possitive of the DOME LIGHT, so where does the 12v of the car plug into?

red is unused in this application.

yes on the grounding location.

the 12v from the car goes to your switch.

nope didnt get a chance to do it last night yet, but will be doing this today to see if it works, so let me see if i got this right

I have a 3 prong switch (ON - OFF - ON)
YELLOW goes to one prong
BLUE goes to 2nd prong
12v goes to 3rd prong
WHITE goes to the positive (+) of the DOME light
BLACK goes to ground

did i get this correct?

and what this will do is that it will make all the LEDs turn on with the dome lights whenever doors are open, AND will also be attached to a switch where i can turn them on at any time to stay on while driving till the point of where i flip the switch to OFF....correct?

all the possitive wires all combined into one and connected to one prong on the switch, and the 2nd prong on the switch goes to the 12 v power supply
If the switch is working just fine, then you don't need to use the third prong.
Just connect yellow to the one prong that all the led positives go to. and the blue to the other prong that goes to 12V. The third prong should not be connected to anything.

I dont get it....if the Yellow goes to one prong, and the Blue goes to another prong, white goes to possitive of the dome light, and the black goes to ground, where does the 12v connect to? and where do the other led's connect to?

12v goes to the same prong that it is connected to now just add the blue wire with it.
the leds go to the same prong that they are connected to now just add the yellow wire with them.
Here is your diagram I modified.
