Default Racing Pedals?

I was looking at some pedals, and how the more expensive racing cars usually have those special ones. What do they really provide besides some better looks. Is grip really that better with some metalic surface rather than rubber? The biggest problem i have with mine is the squeaking of the clutch when my shoes are wet.

Theres a bunch on ebay for $20 and less. Is there just some real point to getting them? Something better worth getting for same price instead?

If your shoes are wet or have a slick sole, your feet are going to slide right off.

Well the nicer ones to get are gonna cost you Sparco makes some nice ones, and the TRD pedal covers are a perfect fit and look and work well.

But yes they do not do a whole lot, maybe give a little more heel to toe ability depending on how you mount them. Most are either bracketed on or screw on by drilling a hole in the existing pedal and screwing it down.

Personally I have always used them in my cars for looks, they look nice if you get good ones.

If you really want them so that they dont slip have them made. Or if you're handy, order the metal and make them yourself. How you mount them is up to you.

Edit: I don't know if youve ever owned a goped but the way the spindles are cut would be perfect for grip.

I guess Im not getting pedals then, seems like the same deal with *****. My current ones are fine, ive never had slip problems, and I drive with flip flops, shoes, and once even with bare feet. Il find something more worthy to spend on, I think il just play with LEDs more once i get back from Europe. Already did dash and gauges but i need to go back in some places and add more.

My feet slide all over them when they're wet. Might just be my Piloti's...but I definitely hate using them when my shoes are wet lol.
