^^that bar that goes behind your seats. usually connects to each side of the car and/or to the floor. you strap the harness around there.

ok, let me try to clear this up for you.
if you get a harness bar, you can still keep your back seats, however you need short harnesses to attach to the bar.

if you choose to get long harnesses, they bolt into the stock pieces where the rear seatbelts are, however i dont think anyone will be able to sit in your back seats.

as far as where to get seats, search around, i got a pair of sparcos for $450, yes a pair, they normally retail for $500 EACH.

i know someone on here is selling red ones if your intersted, but theyre $$$. Compared to new, its a damn good deal though.

hope that clears up some of your questions.

Other note: if you're wearing 4-points driving on the street and get into even a moderate accident, you're gonna get hurt. In a rollover, you're dead.

Standard 3-point belts are designed to allow the body to lean toward the center of the car, away from any terrible things that may be coming at them, like roofs or semi-truck bumpers. In a 4/5-point, the body is held vertical, so no cage, you get nailed in the head by whatever is coming at your head. Like... the roof, or a semi-truck bumper.

But I've seen plenty of people put cages and 4-points in street cars and then drive without helmets. So when they get hit, their melon is gonna whack against a crossbar and their gonna go night-night.

Of course, you could be fine for years and years. Or, you could get paralyzed by improperly employed safety gear. Kind of an exciting toss-up, I guess.

I'm going to be running the Schroth harnesses. Apparently, they're DOT (NHTSA) approved and prevent submarining in an accident. Plus, they allow you to use your backseat.

http://www.schrothracing.com/product...allye/rallye-4

Search "schroth" on youtube and watch some of the videos. 'nuff said.

Yes, its VERY true.

To elaborate....harnesses in a daily driver without a rollcage is BAD. Imagine a normal seatbelt. You can lean forward, you can slouch. Now imagine harnesses. You are stuck in place, totally upright. Now look at a wrecked car. THE ROOF FLATENS DOWN. Whats going to happen if you body doesnt slouch down when the roof comes down???

Now the other issue. If you dont use a harness bar, you have to attach to the floor or rear seat belts. This is very dangerous. The mounting point should be ABOVE the shoulder blades. In the event of an accident, the body moves forward with inertia, this should be straight forward till the seatbelt catches you with a little give. if the point is below the shoulders, it will compress your spine.
My anology for this one is, imagine you are in an upside down U. If the U doesnt move and you do in it, you are going down on the downside of the U. This is spinal compression.

Now a harness bar, you mentioned rear seats I think. Imagine the rear passengers in a collision with a metal bar, enough said.

So to sum it up, harnesses are cool and all, but leave it for show. dont use it for daily driving!!!

how about 3 point harness like this one from sparco
http://www.racing-seats-usa.com/spar...lerelease.html
wondering cause i have a really nice bride gias seat and i want to put in into my tc but i don't want to have roll bar cause i use my car daily.
So if those are still the same as 4 point or 5 point harnesses i think i might sell the bride..

^ i wouldn't get anything that isn't DOT or FIA approved. The Schroth and Takata harness' both fall under this category. Those Sparco ones don't fall into either one of those.
