There are afew DIYs here on the site on how to remove the steering wheel. Not too hard to do really and installing the new one is easy too.

You lose the cruise control and the auto off of your blinkers though....it does look good though. In some places it is illegal from my understanding to remove any factory safty ewuipment.....not sure if this is true or not though.I pulled this info off a site where the same question came up here is the answer form one person.

Davan
I talked to my insurance company about this last year.

Removing an airbag from a car that was equipt with one from the factory is illegal. It is considered removal of a safety device. But that's not the bad part.

They said if you were in an accident, they can void your policy on the spot, because you removed a safety device from the car.

Not worth it, in my opinion. Too many risks.

How? I was thinking of this problem myself when I went too look at steering wheels. It would be nice if they stopped putting all this functionality on the wheels and left some of it on the dash
