Default Radar Detector mounting in the TC

I have done a search and didn't find anything really relating to it. I was just wondering if you guys had any ideas and if hard wiring the detector is that hard on the TC? Pics would be helpful if you have any.

What I did is mount the detector right under the rearview mirror, then I ran the wire straight down behind the radio trim. It then comes out down below the pocket underneath the radio. It is plugged into the cigarette lighter jack.

I'd love to see some pics of it. Having a hard time picturing it in my head. =o)]

Hardwiring should not be any harder than putting in an autodimming mirror. I was doing just that (the mirror) last night - took me about 1.5-2 hours because I went slow and had to make my own wiring harness (I did not buy the scion auto-dimming mirror). I have scion mirror wiring instructions in pdf if you want em - it basically shows how to take the headliner off, a-pillar, kickpanel, and where to wire the power, ground and ACC - very straightforward.

Could you e-mail me a copy too, I'm considering doing it. I don't want to ruin my windshield with those stick-on mounts and I would rather velcro it to the dash. I read that it's a good idea to remove the radar detector when you get pulled over, even if it's legal. That way cops might think you're not a repeat offender, etc... So yeah, e-mail me a copy please: alicsf@gmail.com
Thanks!
