I'm getting the V1 radar soon and I'm wondering where is the best place to put it. I know everyone puts it on their windshield but i was wondering can i play it anywhere else or is it best on the windshield? And another question for people in washington? Is it legal in washington?

it is legal in washington, but get caught with it, it will be harder to get out of it...

As for other places... for inconspicuous places, that would probably be the best, especially if you run the wires around the windshield

 

Virginia and DC are the 2 place where radar detector are illegal

 

of course it's illegal in VA

 

if you get the v1 best put it near the top of the windsheild, cause the v1 tells you where the radar is coming from.

however if you want the best place to intercept laser, mount the radar closest to the car. cops aim for the car surface because it is highly reflective when hit by a laser

 

particularly the grill/bumper due to it being flat...
