I was wondering if anyone has purchased a Radiator Shroud, and if so how does it look? GReedy has one for 59.99. I was wondering if they really serve a purpose, and are they worth the money?

 

I wouldn't really consider that a shroud. As for the GReddy one... I don't think it's worth the money, but people have been selling them in the classifieds for $30-$40 - might be OK at that price. Otherwise, talk to DrIsotope here on the forums. He might be able to hook you up with another option.

 

Oh, and I would say the "purpose" is merely cosmetic. No matter what their description says.

 

i got my abs plastic shroud on ebay (aka dr isotope) for like 40 bucks. It really cleans up the engine bay nicely.

 

DR. Isotope....is probably the way to go....i just got mine in the mail today and for the price it looks nice and definitely makes the bay area look cleaner!!!
Yeah its a cosmetic piece but worth it!!!

The GReddy one it a two piece setup... I'm going to get mine powdercoated, as I'm sick of fingerprints and such...

It's PURELY cosmetic.

Check the yellow pages for your local powdercoating place... depends on how much you have done at one time... probably like 40 bucks a piece or so.... but could be cheap if you had many pieces done at once.

Not that we know of yet... I think with the bends and such, it wouldn't be such a simple piece to make. Probably like $150 or so if it were CF and done right. At least, compared to some of the other CF parts and their prices.

 

I have the Monster motorworks one.. I like it... bad thing is finger prints also..

 

What the heck happened to your hood prop? It looks quite injured.

 

very nice engine bay you got there WDS. i think im gonna get the greddy air diversion thing-a-ma-bob soon. i need some bling under the hood. and im gonna get my heatshield powedercoated gunmetal.... actually does anyone know if you can powdercoat flint mica?

 

LOL.. my hood prop is bent to hell so it will go by the reserviors.. I only use it to work on the car. I have a poilshed peice I use at shows.. I need to order the shock peice.
