the radio in the scions is generic across the board, xa-xb-tc... the weird thing is that you choose which car you have the radio installed in and it "tunes" to that specific car. I was messing around with my radio the other day and I set it to the other models to see what it sounded like... the sound on the xa setting sounds way better than the tc setting. Can anyone tell me what the different settings are or even do? To try this on your TC press and hold the ssp button until it displays the car type and use the volume **** to choose which setting to select xa, xb or tc... let me know what you think.

yeah i like JLTD, over at yoursciontc.com (forums).. he actually put them into a spectrum analyzer to show what all the modes did and took pics of them.. it was very cool.. seems the xB mode would input more bass, where the xA inputs more midrange in the different feel,hear, modes.. the tC was the one that was way below 0dB! where the xA and xB actually was above 0dB, like +2 to +5db something like that..

Personally, I have NO idea why they even did anything for the tC mode as it's the lowest in volume, etc..

ok so based on that link above ^ it has already been decided... the tc sound curve sucks and I think that the xa feel sounds the best (weird that a car that costs almost 10,000 less than mine stereo settings sound better...)

 

Ya... that link is also posted here on SL somewhere too... I have mine set to xB Feel.
