Default Real quick question about auto shift area.

I'm probably gonna be selling my subs to a kid that goes to my school who happens to drive a tc as well. Now I'm good friends with this kids sister and he does kinda look up to my car (he drives a pretty stock 0, anyway, i told him that I'd help him install the subs. Heres my issue. He has the stock radio so I need to install one of those signal to RCA adapter things meaning I have to get behind the hu meaning that I have to take the HVAC out. Now I did a little searching and it looks like you take the center console out exactly the same with the 5 speed as you do with the auto except you just have to move the shifter into neutral. Is this correct? can anyone verify this. Cuz when I get in there I just wanna do it quick, I don't really feel like figuring it out on the spot.

yeah put the ebrake on, pop off the 'shifter release' cover thing, press it down, and move the shifter to neutral.
