Default Rear air vents...installation prep

Hello all! My first post here.

The only thing that I don't like about my Tc is how stuffy it can get in the rear seats for passengers.

I'd like to come up with a way to install some air vents in the rear of the central armrest column and of connecting these to the air supply.

Wondered if anyone has done this or has any suggestions on how to go about this?

My plan was to run some air conduit up under the hand-brake up through the bottom of the central armrest into the storage area, in the rear of which are located the airvents. Not really sure where I can get the parts I need.

For the air vents, I was thinking of going to a junk yard and finding a Tc that's being sold for parts. Might even be able to get hold of some conduit this way too.

Lol, in the summer here in CA opening the window would make things worse. ;)

Any idea of the minimum diameter the conduit would need to be for there to be sufficient airflow out of the vents?

Actually just had an idea:

How about if I run the conduit up to the center console storage area, allow the air to enter the console and then out the air vents if they are open. i.e. With AC on, the storage area could be used to keep things cool in the summer. ;)

You should perhaps take the console apart first and take a look,it is full of shift stuff, and other wires, there is barely room to run RCA cables to the back in there.

An air filter won't increase air flow... I think you're misunderstanding what he wants to do.

oh he wants to get more air? the tC ac sucks all together i dont think another vent would help, youd need to get it to push more air. theres other threads about it being weak on here too, you can try and look them up if you havent already, that might help
