Default recaro's in 07 help!

i might be picking up a pair of recaro's off an evo, and was curious as to how to work around the passenger side pressure switch for the airbag/seatbelt... i dont have the seat airbags, just the pressure swithc for the main front airbag, is the only thing the is concerning me about gettting these seats... if anyone could help me figure this out, it would be a big help...

well seat sensors have changed over the years so there are a few things that area diffeant year to year but all in all it is the same

you said no airbag in seat,so you should not have the yellow plug coming from the floor,if you do have it use the resistor trick, there is a diy on here some where and that will trick the car into thinking the air bag is still there.

Also there is 4 sensors on the rails 1 at each corner basically, theyre a pain to remove as they are on there good, once off you will see they are a pressure switch, hold them in the closed position with channel lock pliers and wrap them with big zip ties or strong wire, remount them to new seat frame, what I did was put one o the bolt that mounts sliders to the seats horitontallly keeps them up and out of the way.

Next depending on the stock seats there is a position sensor connected to the bottom frame in the back if i remember, looks like a little black box, take that and either bolt or zip tie to the new seat in about the same spot it was on old seat.

Next int he seat itself depending on what year is a sensor for the bags adn belts,it is a circuit board made out o fflexable plastic and is just lightly glued to the cushion under the fabric, can be reached from the back of the seat, just un do the hog rings and you can get access to it,follow the wire, reinstall it the same spot to new seats.

once you do all of this the car will think you hvae a passenger in the seat all the time, but airbags will function, but it will think seatbelt is undone all the time and buzzer will chime each time you start car..........so you have to goto the Easter Egg section on here and find the one that tells how to turn off the chime,it is easy to do,but if you unhook battery you have to redo it again to turn it off.

Most importantly unhook battery before working ont he seats, let it sit 90 second unhooked before unhooking anything, there is a charge tot he sensors and airbags for 90 second and if you ground anything out it can blow up the sensors and it gets spendy.
