Removing HVAC/Silver Bezel
I am having a lot of trouble trying to remove the HVAC to do a LED Swap...I've read the DIY's and still can't..I don't want to break anything so I'm not forcing it out..Is it in really tight? Any suggestions?

Start at the top of the gear shift surround. (Pull it up starting at the bottom of the console.) Takes
a bit of force the first time. The upper part of the console should be easier to remove afterward.

the hvac is held into the waterfall piece by 6 screws.. remove them. and push it out underneath from the front. (press down on the buttons)
no need to take the actual hvac apart (the back black piece during removal of the unit from the waterfall piece)

Don't forget to remove the nut underneath the temperature dial if you're trying to separate the HVAC control unit from the waterfall. You'll have to pry the **** off first to get at the nut.

NO prying for the ****.
(i don't even touch the temp **** to take it off)
i can take apart the damn car blindfolded because i've done it so many damn times.. so i'll tell you i'm 10000% certain.

^^^Well, the nut behind the **** has to come out first before the unit can be completely separated from the waterfall. Forcing the two pieces apart without realizing that there is a nut behind the **** will result in damaging the HVAC unit. The nut securing at the base of the dail stud will not automatically release itself and pop out the temp ****. Maybe you've taken yours aparts so many times that your nut behind the **** is missing. :D
Anyway, I'm just giving the OP some tips.

uhh.. NO.
the nut holds the hvac unit together.. it does NOT hold it into the waterfall panel.
the only thing holding the entire hvac unit into the waterfall piece are the 6 screws and that ****.

pretty sure there are jsut 6 screws....the **** comes off like squall said.....but it has beena year since I pulled mine apart.so my brain may be soggy.....if it does not come out get a pair of pliers and pulloff the ****.....wrap pliers in tape first though so you dont scratch the ****

like i said..
and now i emphasize..
if you think about it... it'll come to you.. and it's effortless compared to trying to pry it off with your hands or any tools.

^^^I stand corrected. Sorry man.
I just realized that you can take out the whole assembly, but removing the display and buttons from the HVAC circuit board requires that nut I mentioned to be removed. I remembered long ago when I was struggling to separate the pieces and I removed the **** and that nut in the process. But, it wasn't neccessary.
My bad, bro.

i try not to sound harsh, and i do what i can to make things easier for you guys.. i'm not perfect, but we all make mistakes..
i want to minimize incorrect information out there, so i said what i did.
and whatever.. just to add to the wealth of knowledge in this thread, that nut, along with 4 screws and the hazard button are what holds the circuit board in.
no problem buddy
