Am i missing it, but how is everyone changing the color of the needles, thats effin cool, and making the dash marks different colors other than the digits

and to make the dash marks diffrent colors than the lights you are going to need filters..

 

Is there somewhere that explains how to reverse that lcd film or w.e to get blue with white letters? I also want to know about the filter for the numbers....

If theres an LED that changes based on voltage...you could somehow hook up that LED (for the needle) to an engine speed monitor (which most likely has a 5v source voltage). Then the higher the RPM, the higher the voltage, resulting in a color change in the needle.

 

or do the ghetto way of placing one white led to the left and one red on the right behind the needle and it'll just blend into each other changing a white painted needle from white to red.

but yes.... i am navigating towards a much more technological approach. it's still in the r&d process.
