Default RS 2.0 Sub

Ok, so i finally took apart my trunk to look for where the sub was comming from and i found a 6 in sub that is down firing under the floor cover next to the spare in a black plastic box. I was wondering if anyone had anymore information on this sub like its power handling, mounting depth, etc. Also has anyone replaced it with an ED 6in sub?

Does it sound good? My one complaint about my factory system is a lack of bass, and it didnt really improve with my Kenwood deck so now im considering subs and amp.

I haven't gotten around to taking it apart, but here's some outside pix. Wish I could adjust the levels tho. Sounds like I'm loosing midbass when I turn down the bass so the sub isn't so loud.

I listened to one at a local dealer... sounded a little boomy. I don't think they tuned it for sq, but rather for initial impressions on the untrained ear.

Normally there is a foam compartment similar to the one on the left side to hold stuff.

Ya its pretty bad design with a not very powerdul sub... with a bigger one it would sorta make sense, I have a nice JL audio 10inch sub that I somehow want to fit in there, the sub thats in there now is sooo small

This sub is too boomy. I can't get enough mid-bass from the speakers w/o it being drowned out by the sub. Lately I just turn off the deck and listen to my exhaust. =P

And no, it isn't a port, it is in fact a cup holder.
