Default satellite radio install help

I want to hook up my cigarette lighter adapter from my xm unit to my cigarette lighter so no wires are exposed. Any ideas on what and how I should do this? and I would like some ideas on the best place to have the xm unit put?

You would have to hardwire it behind the dash to have no wires showing if you want it mounted on the dash. Where do you want to put it?

Be sure to check the voltages. I hardwired my Sirius Sportster 4 this weekend and I had to hack the cigarette adapter because it housed a transformer that took the 9-14 volts from the battery and sent 5 volts to the Sirius unit. It took some time, but I got it all hardwired and looking good. PM me if you want any more help.

Could be. I know the new Sportster 4's only take 5 volts. If it blew the fuse in the cigarette adapter, you may have a different problem.

I just ran the cable out the back of the console.
