Default Scion tC, Pioneer AVIC-D2. No sound/video. How to fix it?

Few years ago I installed Pioneer AVIC-D2. For some reason I cut connectors on tC and D2 .
I went to the Circuit City and audio technician connected/taped tC&D2 wires.

Today I tried to use AV source. AVIC-D2 doesn't see it (no sound/video) - AV, TV, AUX buttons are gray. Plugged video cable into "Back-Camera" wire - same result.

How can I fix it?

Thanks!

I tried without bypass and with it (ground+right up pin+brake) - AV doesn't work . I used portable DVD player to test it. No sound, no video. AV, TV, AUX buttons are gray all the time.

I have Pioneer CD-iB100ii iPod control but it can't play video.

How D2 usually wired so it able to play video & sound via AV cables?

Reconnected all those wires, reset unit. Now video is working.

I bought PC to TV converter. Which can turn VGA signal into AV video signal.

I connected laptop with AVIC D2 & tried different resolutions. But picture still unclear (Converter SA235, Laptop VGN-TZ150N).

Not sure how to make it work, maybe need buy other converter or use some special resolution...

Any ideas what can be solution?

double check the wires that were taped up. Pull the tape off and make sure the wires are soldered back together and reapply electrical tape. If it was working before you cut the wires, double check them after they were supposedly fixed.
