Scion tC - Stereo system Setup information
If you are planning on installing a stereo system in your Scion tC then this is the thread for you.
There is a link at the bottom of this post which will direct you to the testing page i am working on to find out what the Scion tC likes and doesn't like.
From this post date, there won't be any newer updates for about another 2 weeks but info is good indeed.
The purpose of these tests is to be able to build a box in the hatch area of your tC Without having to move your back seat out of it's factory position and without having to remove the spare tire!
I use AutoCad to do extreme measurements of inside the cargo area and a Db meter capable of reading up to 186Db which is more strict than the current Tlab mic but that's kinda irrelevant right now.
Ok, basic specs before directing you to link-
Fs of car(this is the frequency at which the vehicle gets it's highest peak of bass which is where one would like their setup to peak at if in competition)- varies between 47-51hz depending on amount of sound deadening in vehicle and direction of box.
setups are capable of holding amps, sub box, batteries, multi 0awg runs and proper airflow out of port(s). Did you think you could fit all of that back there? u can!
Need alt? contact Iraggi Alternator. Currently the only alt dealer capable of manufacturing up to 300A alt for this car.
here is link to testing so far-
(this testing is NOT for competition but mainly just for daily driving, listening to music. Read on once redirected over there)

In a ways from now, i'll reupdate my drawings i have in AutoCAD and convert them over to normal pictures and post them here with detailed measurements so you guys can see exactly the dimensions of the hatch area behind the back seat.
I have a lot of specs already but i want to get to the most detailed specs i can unless someone desperately needs some info now, i'll be happy to post.

Finally, got box testing done!
I will be entering all this info into Microsoft Word now but may take the whole day to do it!
Below is the link to the forum that this topic originates. When the documents are done, the link will be posted on that forum to download using winrar to extract them.
