I just noticed a scratch that popped up on my interior door handle. I don't know how it got there because I am always careful. I guess it didn't help because it is pretty noticable. Does anyone know of a way to fix scratches like that in plastic? It is driving me nuts looking at it and want to get it fixed before the next show. Thanks

i treat my car very nicely and I get kind of mad when things get dinged or scratched or my paint doesn't appear as deep as i want it when i detail it.
but, i get over it, it's a mode of transportation that I want to look nice, but i realize that it will get dinged up inevitably over the years.

Yea, I don't care if your parents bought your car as long as you appreciate it. I hate people whose parents buy them a car, then they beat the crap out of it because they didn't pay for it. I take very good care of my car and it hurts me whenever it gets dinged, scratched, chipped, etc.
A girl in my school, her parents bought her a new-ish Saab, and she put it in a ditch like the next week, cuz she cant drive, and she didnt care. Were like, "hey wheres your car?" shes like...ohh its in the shop, I dont care, its a piece of crap.
I am making payments on my car, my mom is co-signing...yay debt for a long time lol.
I take care of my things, because I also like them to look nice and perform nice.

Im 18 now and got my car when i was 17 and my parents have never made a payment toward the car. I hate that 20 year olds come on here and assume that anyone younger than them had their car paid for by mommy or daddy. And who cares if they did.... are you jealous?

And drsmith4, I am not jealous that parents pay for cars. On my first car, my parents went half and half with me on the car (which ended up costing $525 total for the car). If kids can't afford to pay for their own car (payments, gas, insurance) they shouldn't have one, its that simple. Driving is a privelage, not a right. IMO, if all high-schoolers paid for their own cars, gas, insurance, etc. there would be a lot less accidents because they would be more careful. The money would be coming out of their pockets if anything happened to the car. It is an issue of accountability and responsibility for one's actions.

By the way...BACK ON TOPIC. The BIC method worked very well on getting rid of the scratch. The area where the scratch was looks a little more shiny than the surrounding area from where the flame heated up, but is barely noticable. I am glad I did that this weekend, I took home a "Best Stock Scion" trophy from a show yesterday. Thanks for the suggestions on fixing it.
