Scratched window when tinted
So here's the situation im in. I got my brand new 2009 TC 5.0 series and decided to get the windows tinted and overall its a pretty nice job, but there is one window (small back right) that has this scratch on it that go across half the window probably the size of a needle but longer. I took the car back the next week and asked him to fix it because i thought it was the tint film that was messed up so he did and turns out the scratch was still there...so he said it could have came like that off the lot so i took what he said a left. But yesterday i come to find out that window tinters usually clean windows with a razor blade before the tint is applied (i had no idea) so now im pretty sure it was his fault and not the dealership i bought it from. It's been about 4 weeks since i got my windows tinted...should i go back and yell at him? ask for a refund or something? What would you do? is it too late?...this scratch just ____es me off every time i see it and i dunno if i can convince him

So in the end nothing is going to be resolved.
I've dealt with this before.
Those places never own up to their mistakes.
Stop wasting your time while you still can.

If it bothers you that much, go find his window and put a scratch on his windshield with a razorblade.
On a serious note, you are SOL.
Yea it is kind of late to really prove that they did it. I just recently found huge scratches on the bottom of my side skirts, either from the dealer or the people that put my tires on but there is no way I can prove any of them did it.
you're just going have to deal with it. the f*** s***heads that tinted my windows scratched up my rear bumper and were trying to argue with me that it was because of daily use. how the heck do i scratch up my own bumper when a bunch of scratches just mysteriously appear right after the windows were tinted? the dude was wearing shorts and he said that it couldn't possibly have been him... but the s***head forgot that he was wearing shoes. i yelled the hell out of them and their manager... got in my car and just left... irresponsible people. yes they did their job, but they didn't do a good job taking care of the car.
Just sucks when small businesses screw up with their client base especially when its so small. The unusual thing is that a majority of the time small business owners treat their clients better then any of the big box stores. My tint guy wears an apron and hospital booties when working on a car. Then after hes done he completely washes the car. Not just a spray down
i've had the exact same situation happen to me, and theres pretty much nothing you can do about other than be ____ed for a while. no proof unless you took pictures before you brough it in which i doubt anybody does.'
i know it sucks but again not much you can do. I know i gotta take my car back cause the back window is peeling...dont konw how but it started peeling at the top and im pretty ____ed about that.

a window can easily be scratched with a razor blade. a dull blade is usually the culprit. Its best to replace the blade after every cut to prevent this from happening, however most installers will usually get away with a few cuts before breaking off the old tip.
also, the glass must be wet at all times to help lubricate and glide the blade and minimize blade wear. In short, Dry glass and a dull blade can easily damage your window.
Look at the scratch, chances are that if it follows the outline of the window (around the dot matrix), then they are responsible for it without a doubt. if its random somewhere in the middle, then its becomes a little tricky to put the finger on them.

You might try some windshield repair resin that cures in UV Sunlight to fill in the scratch. It comes in little kits for about $10 - just google it or on Amazon. I got a little kit to repair the chips in the windshield on my xB in case I get a bullet hole chip but it works well in the little rock chips too. Just put a little into the chip with the end of a paper clip wet with the resin and leave it parked in the sun for a day. Helps take the ruff edge out of the chip and protects the wiper blades too.
