Basically that is the question. I am pretty much sold on the tC at this point. The pontiac g5 had a better ride I thought, but the reliability has done it again for toyota.
I just wonder if those seats get a bit more comfy .. Don't get me wrong, I like sport bucket seats... in fact I expect them... but these were SUPER firm.
Any thoughts?

for a 16K car these seats are damn supportive... you WANT the seats to be firm, not soft... trust me cuz I am a previous civic owner and if you compare the TC seats to other cars in its class, these seats are pretty good...you wont be disappointed

I think the only problem with this car is the seats. I only have 250 miles so i can't say if they soften up, but they shouldn't. Driving more than 20 minutes causes me to shift my position a lot, my girlfriends 2005 civic EX supports you more than the tC, as well as my old CL-S and G35, which is expected in a pricier car.

Just make sure you're not driving like a pimp and you'll be fine. Keep the back rest pretty straight, not 90 degrees, but 1-2 clicks back from there. Any further and your lower back will take the brunt of the impacts from the roads and you will slowly begin to shift. I've been in 2.5 hour trips to Ocean City and I've been fine. Just sit like a normal person and you should be fine.

i kinda thought the seats were uncomfortable for the first few days but after that i changed my mind. i love them, very comfortable and very supportive. i hardly move around in the seat at all when cornering hard.
