Default Securing down my sub enclosure....

Well I have a single 10" sub in a vented enclosure but whenever Im driving it slides around like no other.. any ideas as to how to tie it down? Its starting to damage the inside of the hatch, on the plastic part, the vibration is like sanding down small spots where the corners are at... bah.

I used high strength velcro. My sub and box weigh nearly 100 lbs combined and it doesn't move at all.

Industrial strength velcro works good. Nice to know that it will hold nearly 100 lb. in place.

It doesn't even budge! In fact, it is kinda hard for me to take my sub box out of the trunk because its held down so well.

I can't remember where I got it. It was either Wal-Mart or Home Depot.

I need to move/take my box out of the car regularly, for hauling materials. I attached the box to the two flip-down pieces behind the seats using an 18" long L-angle and 4 screws into the box. Doesn't move at all, and you have to get into the car and flip down the seats to unscrew it.

I also built a box for a customer that mounted to one of the child LATCH points with a nylon strap. That box does not move at all-- ever.

i kinda just used your idea. i just screwed 2 screws through those 2 pieces behind the seat into my box. we'll see what happens. before whenever i hit the gas hard in 1st or 2nd gear the box would move. i don't think it will now but we'll see.
