Default Should I put a VSE 10" Factory into an 08 tC?

I just bought an 08 BRM tC yesterday, great car, but the little factory sub sounds awful. I still have my Bazooka 10" factory from the other tC, can I put that one in the 08?

Thanks in advance for all you guys' help.

I'm not sure the 08 stereo has the same output for the harness. You might be better off just adding a new setup in there.

I want to retain the factory look, and trunk space is still important. My main concern is that the Bazooka's harness would match the 08's sub, and if I will need to do modifications to the trunk corner. Maybe I'll need to cut a hole for the wiring to come through?

Thanks for the comment on the color. BRM was always my first choice, my the other scion is a 07 NBP tC =)

Not to mention that it was the last 08 left on the dealer's lot and I got $1000 off of MSRP for it.

You could look into the eD stealth box. Goes where your current sub is and you can put whatever into it.

Can you actually "put whatever" into it?
The Elemental Designs SQ10 sub only requires .3 square feet of airspace, I think... and it is a pretty shallow box.

What other subs does anyone know for a fact will actually FIT and WORK with the airspace in the ED box?

I think you'd just have to find a 10" shallow mount sub. There are quite a few out there.

I'm on a tight budget, and would like to utilize what I have on hand.

the sub harness connects to the back of the headunit

it piggybacks on the factory headunits harness

wierd to explan but once you see it,you will understand.

im pretty sure it will work, they havent changed toyota harness since like 1987 so I dont see why they would now

i can almost guarantee it will work

Go to xactfit.com and buy one of those fiberglass enclosures or get one made. I have one on each side of the trunk where the bazooka went and it takes up less room than the bazooka. It also looks very good with a carpet covering. I had them done by a sewing store and it looks amazing. It will sound WAY better and you can have two or one 10 that actually are good, keep your trunk, look stock, and are alot better use of your money.

Thanks for all your help, people. Took the car and the sub to a scion dealer, and they installed it without a fuss. Now I have two functioning factory subs. Haven't test them out that much, but sounds great for Lincoln Park from my iPod.
