Default Silly LED Question

So I did the gauge and HVAC LED swaps, which came out really good. I figured I'd finish with the wheel controls today. I took out the LEDs and resistor, cleaned it up, got ready to put the new ones in, and ... crap, there's no arrow or little diode symbol.

Anyone know which way the diodes are supposed to go in on the wheel control? I probably should have paid more attention before yanking them out.

Here's my gauge :D

Here is a pic that I took of one a long while back for this very situation I drew a black line on the cathode end in case the notch is hard to see in the picture.

Another tip to check if the led works is to use a multi meter, and allow it to give the led some power to light up. if it lights up its the right way. Doesnt means its the wrong way.

If you want to make the steering wheel control brighter and swap out the resistor for the gauge cluster
You can use the 561 resistor that you remove from the gauge cluste and swap it out with 302 resistor on the control...
This is just optional.....

^^^ thanks

...and thanks for the tips. I got the wheel LEDs working now. I wish I thought of using the gauge resistor, but I already bought a replacement...
