Small project I started
from my experiance doing auto interior(which isn't much by the way) you have to keep working with it, stretching and manipulating the fabric to do what you want(not to wrinkle) it's a pain in the butt esecially the head liner, but nice job for your first time and I like the color scheme
fuji, i didnt remove the headliner material, i just sprayed the adhesive to it and layed down the alova. the first time i did it, i started from the front dome light , working to the back. that didnt go to well.
i scoured the net looking at DIY to get an idea how people did theirs. on my second run, i just sprayed the entire headliner and layed down my material over the entire headliner. i started working from the center ( the split where the two openings where the moonroof meets), and worked my way from the center, outwards. i found that to be the most easiest.
thanks Beaumont, your right about it being a pain. at least now i know more now, than I did before. which will make it easy to fix my wrinkles and air pockets.

so i ditched that red and black alova micro suede look alike,
here is a sneak peak at my headliner with its new fabric! Captain, your right, third times a charm :D its perfect this time around and i saved me a couple hundred bux in the meantime

its vibrant red fur! looks sweet as hell
red for the headliner and black fur for the pillars. this material is soo much thicker than before, so the adhesive doesnt come thru the fabric. its coming together nicely

Headliner is a PITA indeed! Pillars and most everything else is really simple. I finished mypillars in suede but I gave up on the headliner. Wrinkles were just too hard to get out... Im just gonna take my headliner and fabric to a pro so itll look perfect.
