i was thinking about getting infinity speakers for my car. any suggestions on which model i should get and if its for the front or back part of the car? Below are the models i'm looking at:

Infinity 5-1/4" Car Speakers

Infinity 6" x 8" Car Speakers

Infinity 6" x 9" Car Speakers

Infinity 6-1/2" Car Speakers

those speakers above are known as coaxials. the midbass driver and the tweeter are together at one mounting location. components are separated. the tweeter and the midbass driver are mounted in different locations. this helps out the imaging made by the sound (where the sounds seems to originate from).
Instead of buying two sets of speakers, you should use the money to buy a set of components. You really don't need any speakers in the back if you are running a good set of components up front.

Another thing that is good to know when choosing aftermarket speakers is if you plan to amp them or not. Your not going to see a whole lot of improvement if you don't amp them. Then if you plan to do all that, are you going to be getting a new headunit or not. You can run aftermarket speakers with the stock headunit if you want, but if you don't amp the speakers it will probably make it sound worse. So i guess what i'm saying is, if you don't plan on getting a new amp or headunit, then it probably isn't a good idea to get any aftermarket speakers.
yea, they work for the front. I personally don't think you need any speakers for the rear though. Right now i'm running some aftermarket front components, and i just have the stock rear speakers in. I have it faded mostly to the front and it sounds just fine.
