Default speaker install problem urgent

hey i just renturned the alpines i bought yesterday for rockford fosgate comps, but when i removed the two screws in the door handle, i saw that the screw above the open latch has a cover, i cant seem to get the little cap off, how have some of you done it, i dont want to scratch it

stick small flathead in and push where you can see there's a small tab for it...
and then push in and pry it

it worked, new speakers in and sounds great, obviously i need to install my amp but i want to know the best way to wire it to the speakers
