Haha nice. Do some more research before you set on the Image Dynamics. Like I said, there are plenty of speaker options out there. The ID's are great in sound and price.

Best thing to do would be to go to a car show and listen to what others have and compare.

If i went to a local car show, i would have so much rice in my ears that i could make some sushi.

Yeah, im not going to jump into buying them, ima do more research. I started with the jls then infinity then these.

Trying to find the best bang for a nice price. Dont want to buy something cheap and regret buying it.

HAH! Yeah, and there's also those sound booths at most audio shops where you can listen to different speakers. However, most of those are amped and sound different than what they would in your car.... but its nice to compare the sound differences.

I have the Infinity 6020cs you linked to before. They sound very good, but their power handling isn't enough to really blow off your face, but they can still make plenty of clean sound. They sound great and have a much improved midbass response from the stock speakers though, and the tweets are crisp without being overbearing. I like mine a lot.

^nah they will be fine, you will not be able to keep them clean at higher volume as you could amplified as your signal will get distorted, basically if you have the D3 anthing over say 33 on the volume is gonna start to give a clipped signal since it only goes to 40 if I remember correctly.

Having your speakers amped helps you get a good clean signal to them and maintain volume, for instance iwthout amp my speakers at 30 on the deck is about 10 on deck with amp, cleaner signal, less wear and tear on equipment......same volume.

just dont run clipped signal to them and you will enjoy them for years to come.

pretty much remove the stock speaker, then install the speaker baffle,Doc I sells them as do ED.mount speaker to baffle.....mount in our cars the tweeters in the kick panels as they sound great there.put door panel s back on and rock out.

I recomend using new wires to run the speakers, not stock wires, they are crap....no need for high end speaker wire, just get some good 14-16 gauge and you are set.

I have a question for the ID ones would my amp be okay to run them. I have a rockford fosgate 4001 specs are:
# 50 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms (100 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms)
# 200 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms (4-ohm stable in bridged mode)
Thanks

200 watts x 2 @ 4 ohms is what you're looking at. The ID's can handle up to 100W RMS / 200W Peak, so just dont turn it the amp gain up more than half way and you should be fine.
