So today my speakers are giving me a hard time. I have component speakers in the front and stock speakers in the back and subs in the trunk. I was blasting my music like always, and i had to stop a red light. I hit the brakes and the speakers turn off. all of them, and the subs still hit and play with the music. I hit the gas and they turn back on. Im like wtf?
I brake at another light and they turn off again and stay off while i gass. I pass over some bumps and they turn on again. Im guessing its a connection problem. Anyone have any ideas? or experienced something like this? Btw aftermarket headunit avicd3, speakers connected to that no amp.

if you have a bad connection on one of the speakers and you hit a bump and it ground out against something the Hu will shut off all the speakers until the grounding out stops(you hit another bump) and them resume powering the speakers look for loose connections at the speakers or at pinch points where they go into the doors. its shutting off to protect itself
if you really want to find the problem quick, pull the radio and disconnect all eth speakers but one and go for a ride, then slowly add them back in to find the faulty speaker, do you have factory wiring to the components?
you could always ask some Noobs for help, they apparently seem to be audio savvy all the sudden

its okay i know one noob that thinks he knows all though
im hoping one of my electrical tapes just fell of due to the heat. I soldered all of the connections on the wires.

i was hoping you had poorly run aftermarket wiring to the doors, that would be the problem if so hmmmmmm, id recommend doing the radio trick to track down the problem before pulling the door panels, cause the problem might be behind the headunit, did you use tape or solder/tape or connectors on the wiring behind the radio?
if everything cut out id say it was the ignition wire on the radio but its not, do the radio trick first, because the rear panels are a b!tch to pull for no reason

solder/tape for the connectors behind the HU.
The back speakers are stock, so i dont think they are causing the problem. Its either the front speakers or something behind the headunit is groudng out. Like i said the HU stays on and the subs keep bumpin

haha that sucks. I spent over 12 hours installing a full system in a acura tl and finding 1 speaker not working. Turns out the portfor that speaker on the amp was faulty.
I just want to see a open wire not protected by electrical tape and taht will make me happy.
All fixed :D
my baffle came loose and knocked off the neg wire of the speaker

Use some liquid electrical tape. It wont have the chance to fall off. But A+ on the solder.
From reading this you soldered the negative and the positive together? Thats a problem if so.
