Default Speaker questions/discussion...

Alright, I'm trying to find a good set-up for my tC (obviously, I'm in the tC forums) but having trouble finding a matching amp/speaker/component combination. Other than E-designs, are there any other smaller companies that'll have everything I need and can purchase straight from them? Because Besy But, Soundomain, and Crutchfield sell the most effed up sets of speakers and amps. I'd like to stick with the same brand but thats starting to seem impossible. Should I just get mis-matched speakers and just make sure the wattages and such are correct? I'm not looking for something huge in power, I was hoping to get something around 40-50 watts rms, but then I go to find an amp and all I can find are 80 watt per channel amps. So anything anyone has to input would be helpful.

Is there a reason you don't want to try ED? They are very popular on these boards for a reason... they make quality stuff and have reasonable prices. I run eD amps in my setup and I love them.

Its not really that I dont want to give ED a try as much as I dont want to go with them because they're the only ones that have the set up. It theres other options out there I figure I'd ask now instead of buying everything and going "oh.....crap" because I see something I'd rather have.

that makes no sense.

you don't want to go with them because they sell everything?

stay away from PG, they got bought out last month and from what i've seen their new stuff is using much cheaper toolings and cheaper materials.

seriously go with eD they have good stuff and good prices

Yeah I think I might just end up going with them, I just wanted to see if anyone had anything negative to say about them (didnt really expect it though) or any other suggestions.

Well theorectically If I wanted PG, if you bought something from offline somewhere, they wouldnt have the crappy stuff yet, right? They have a perfect 50w rms set-up I kind of liked...
