Speaker Wire Gauge for Subwoofer
Hey Guys,
I'm running a single Alpine Type R 10" at 2 ohms powered by a single Alpine MRD-M500 (RMS 500 watts).
I've been trying to search for what gauge speaker wire I should wire the subs with, but I haven't been able to find a straight answer.
What gauge would you guys recommend.
Thanks in advance!

I'd say to be on the safe side, run 14 gauge or better. All depends on what you listen to and how hard you push the woofer. People tend to "over-gauge" their systems a lot to show off or brag but being in the install business for many years in my past, I've never noticed a huge difference in sound or reliability. Just make sure it's not cheap crap.
