The white just glows across the blue faced LED guages...it's freakin awesome, i love driving at night now.

And here he was testing some red LEDs on my needles

Great job on the work and i could not be any happier.

Hey!
I asked another Forum member about how to change the color of the needles, and he said you had to paint them (as listed in the post for coloring the needles) and that the LEDs were all the same, with illumination for the needles coming from the dial LEDs.
In your pictures, it looks to me like the needles have their own LEDs and the dials have their own.
Does anyone have a 'map' showing which LEDs control the faces, and which control the needles?
Also, it appears that adding some masking to the backs of the dials and the bottoms of the needle mountings might reduce the red glow escaping from behind the needles.
Any tips/ideas? Thanks, all!

as for the "glowing" it's only subtle, not that bad that it escapes the needles. it looks freakin awesome.

Wow, those pics turned out good on your camera! Lol, it put's my Sony Cybershot N1 to shame! (Maybe I need to play around with it more).

Ernesto, don't be bitter, you know I'll take care of your gauges too!

Hmmm...I looked at the tutorials, but perhaps there's a step missing?
I want to do the same to my Scion, but I want to make sure the needles are going to be bright enough before going to all the time and trouble. I plan on doing it myself, but my Solder station is about 20 years old, and I want to 'upgrade' that before attacking those little tiny LEDs!
