Default stereo question

the only thing i changed was the hu... avic d3 now instead of stock
so my question is just for better sound... not trying to go all crazy so the whole world can hear it just so it sounds good in the car

i tried to turn it up to volume 14 with stock everything on the d3 and it sounds a little iccky... soo if i just wanted to improve the quality of the bass and such just for an average feel what would i need to change? just speakers? or would i need amps... subs n such

Go to an audio shop and listen to some speakers. We all hear differently. So what might sound good to me could sound like crap to you. Best Buy and Circuit City DO NOT count as an 'audio shop'! GL.
