i was told that you can change the word scion on the stock 06 radio.. you know when you turn your car on and its says scion on the radio well how do i change it anyone know

sory but i only know how to do it on the 05 radios.

 

If you go to the Features menu above, and then into the Tech section, I believe there is a DIY on how to change the words on your radio.

 

If not there, then look at the tC FAQ. It is def in there for the 2005 and 2006 HU.

 

1) turn key to acc
2) hold mute button
3) turn key off while still holding mute button
4) let go of mute and hold "1" button
5)use 3/4 to change letters/numbers/symbols ; use 5/6 to move left right (pressing 5 is like backspace)

i forgot how long you have to do it but if you take too long, just repeat the steps and you'll continue on the last letter you left off on.

Mine says "Wut's ur fan-tC?"

Hey i just tried what you said for like 10 minutes it didnt work... are you sure thats the way to do it for the O6 because i know its different then the O5's . . . ??

should be in the stereo manual too...

 

you know the directions for changing the welcome screen is in the radio manual. it's not a part of the tC owner's manual. it's actually a seperate manual that's wrapped in plastic in the case along with the owner's manual. it tells you step by step what to do.

 

well i know that its also in those scion magizines that you get from the dealer... its called an easter egg or something haha i just know its in there.. i gotta do that mod something

 

ya it in the manual, i messed with mine a couple timez. like to say my name and crap, but i want to have it say something cool but i dont know what

 

i donno what to put on there either, and now, i just don't care too much. mine just reads : "TOYOTA POWERED"
