stock deck wont play mp3s
i have been playing mp3s on the stock scion deck for months now and just today i put in an mp3 that had been played before and it just flashes reading disk then says no music. i figured maybe it was scratched or whatever so i burnt a brand new mp3 cd and put it in. no luck. i drove around tried it again and it worked but when i went to like track 5 it flashed track 5 then said no disk. i can put in a regular burnt cd and it plays fine but when i throw in an mp3 it wont play... any suggestions? thanks
okay now it wont even play CDs and when it does its really static-ie... should i just roll it past scion or is there anything i can do to fix it.. i tried cd/dvd cleaning cd but doesnt help
Is your headunit sitting in the sun for some time? I've noticed mine acts funny if I forget to close the lid and it is a bright, sunny day. I think it gets too hot and acts funky. I just end up running the vents for a minute or so and it cools it down quickly. The A/C helps in this regards but is not necessary. I say this because I see you are in AZ.
I dont know the year of your tc but there was also a problem with some of the '05 - '06 radios and them acting up. If you are still within warranty, it would never hurt to run it past them.

i did try a cleaning disk with no luck, and yes it is in like 105 degree heat but no direct sun.. i have 5% tint so it keeps some heat out but that my very well be it.. thanks man ill try the lid closed and the a/c thing... it is an 07 so if that doesnt work ill run it past scion =)
