Yes, it is possible to hook up subs to the stock headunit. I don't think the stock headunit has RCA outputs, so when adding an amp, you will need to either use the high-level inputs or get an adapter for the RCA jacks.

I have used the adapter before, and it didn't sound nearly as good as an aftermarket headunit would. But it was a few years ago, and the quality of the devices and stock head units has improved dramatically.

But as for a quick answer to your question, yes, it's possible.

Default where the hell is the remote amp power for stock stereo

yeah....i got my mtx sub and amp in my tc rs 2.0..the problem is to get a amp remote wire right.....my stock head unit have the ipod and xm radio....and i bought the add-n-amp kit from some guy called alpman or real name "Greg" for $40 which recommended from some members in here.....all bull poop....when i try to hook up like what he said in his ad pic...total bull____...my main power hardness don't even look like the one he has in his pic..remember..mine is 06 with xm and ipod control also steering control...he is outdated fool...so i have to find my own remote wire for my amp....first i tap into blue positive wire..but seen i turn off my car..my amp still alive...then i tap into orange wire...i turn off my stereo...my amp turn off too...sound good..but hell....here the problem...it's only work for Fm or Am only..if i switch to CD or MP3....my amp won't work...what the hell.....i can't find any better wire to tap no more...anyone got any idea?...by the way i 'd been checking the wires voltage using multimeter....and also i'm not rich enough to change my stock head unit to aftermarket head unit that has similar function like stock unit for having ipod..xm...steering control..mp3...that cost lots of green out of me....so stop suggest changing to aftermarket one...unless u gonna sponsor me....

The remote switch is simply a signal wire that allows you to turn the amp on when the radio get's power.
Some stereos have made the remote wire different - 1 makes it where when the car is turned on, the amp is turned on. The other makes it where when the stereo is turned on, the amp is turned on. Either way doesn't really matter, the only difference is generally the voltage output.

I bring that up, because although it appears that you already knew what the remote wire was, you might not have known that you can connect it to the power of the stereo and it would work. Unless you have a super senesitve (or poorly designed amp), connecting the remote wire to a common power souce is not going to hurt the amp. But I wouldn't suggest that because then your amp would be on ALL the time.

So... All you need to do is find a wire from your car that gets power when the car is on, but does not get power when the car is off. Something like your sunroof. You could easily route an extra 2 feet of wire from the back of the headunit to the fuse box under your steering wheel. Find a wire there, and tap into it. Try not to simply take the wire and wedge it between the fuse and it's holder - just tap into the wire outside of the fuse box with something like a quick connect (100 quick connects at autozone for like $7).

It might not be the most professional way to do it, but it would work. Then again, IMO, hooking up an aftermarket amp and subs to the stock HU, though it works and still sounds good, isn't the most professional way to go either.

Hope that helps.

yeah..that's what i planned to do....if there is no way to get a wire from the head unit that will turn on when the car is on and vice versa...sometimes life doesn't go easy with stock head unit....it been century that car maker never want to put extra 1 wire and 2 RCA just for aftermarket amp and sub....dunno why they like seeing their product trashed in the junk yard and see others aftermarket units in their desk...
