Default stock head unit lcd busted

so recently i ordered my trd lowering springs and my dad was complaining to me about how im throwing away perfectly good parts on my car. and he is worried that if something else breaks the mechanics will blame it on the stuff that i did to void the warranty. i told him that was dumb and that i am replacing the old parts with better ones. with my great luck today when i started up my car the stock radio lcd doesnt turn on anymore. its just BLANK! while i was driving i saw it come on. then when i looked again it was off. the backlight on the lcd doesnt turn on but all the other lights around it do. i dont know what to do! if i take it in to the dealer i think i will have to swap out my CAI for the stock one because my dad may be right. they might try to blame it on that. does anyone know whats wrong with my car? how can i fix it? do i have to take out my CAI? =[

also i noticed that when i am idling there is an unusual vibration in the car.

I doubt toyota would blame a radio failure on a CAI, but I would not put it past them haha.
