Default Stock seats question...

I have an '08 tC, and I love it, but I feel like I slide around in the seat a little too much when going around corners, and such. I was wondering is there anything out there to help keep me in place, without getting new seats?

no. i have clazzio (VRD) leather seat covers and it seems to have more friction than the stock cloth, but if you want to stay in place, you need actual racing seats with decent bolsters

I guess you could always buy a better seat harness. If you're driving that roughly though the seat belt should lock and you shouldn't fly around that much that it should be a major issue.

just get some lowering springs, or if u have the money, go for coilovers. these will help A LOT on your cornering at the same time dramatically reduce your body roll which often causes you to slip and slide your seat.

How do you sit? Do you lean like a cholo, gangster style, seat all the way back, reclined, and one arm fully out stretched?

If so, that would be the problem. The seat won't do it's job IF you sit like a monkey clown.

Proper seating position, is upright, with knees slightly bent with pedals fully depressed, and your arms should be able to reach well PAST the steering wheel. It's not the most elegant position, but it delivers the best visability, control, leverage, and seat ergonomics and safety. YES, excessive seat lean is actually dangerous, as you place your center of gravity lower, thus increasing the forces on the lap portion of the seat belt in a collision.
