well.. compared to many other stock systems out there, i think our stock pioneers are top notch

their true potential can be brought out with a (new) good head unit.

What would be a good replacement for them? Or would it be smarter to replace the HU first and then worry about speakers? I have the fac sub if that makes any difference. Also I am not looking to spend tons and tons of money. Thanks for any help I can get.

A good component system in the doors with an amp and some sound deadening material would probably be what you're looking for, krs...

I personally like the eDi components... 6000s for $125 shipped or 6500s for $250 shipped...

If I have the stock HU can you install components? Is it worth it?

Yes and Yes, as long as you put an amp on them...

you'll need a Line Level Converter to get the RCA's and you'll need power, ground, and remote wires as well as wiring to go to the components from the amp...

I bought a 12" kicker and they measured it all out and it barely fits in the back. Its within inches, the box the sub came in wouldnt even fit in the trunk, it gets installed thursday
